Flyers Better Lynx, 2-1
|
The Pennsauken Flyers downed the Calgary Lynx, 2-1, at Pennsauken Park. Stellar pitching by Remie den Braber had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 4th in the PAAA with a 3.02 ERA, handcuffed his opponent all game. The win for the Flyers raised their record to 59-43.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Flyers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when second baseman Joe Robinson hit a 2-run single. The single came off Pablo Gonzáles and made the score 2-0, Flyers. Robinson was 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said den Braber. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
