Big Day for Swan as Voodoo Down Rocketeers, 8-5
The New Orleans Voodoo defeated the Seattle Rocketeers, 8-5, in United States Premier League action at Boeing Dome. Ishaan Swan pulled his weight. The 12-year veteran went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Al Hussey was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. The Voodoo improved their record to 30-20 by beating Seattle.

New Orleans used a well-timed hit by Always Wright to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"That's what this team is about," said Wright, "picking each other up."
