Voodoo Best Rocketeers in Pitching Duel
|
In a low-scoring affair between the New Orleans Voodoo and the Seattle Rocketeers, pitcher Jessie Wolfe was the difference between victory and defeat. The New Orleans right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-0 Voodoo win. With the win, the Voodoo improved to 31-20.
New Orleans took a 2-0 lead on Brad Vaughn's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Vaughn hit in the top of the eighth, left Seattle pitcher Billy Richardson visibly frustrated.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Vaughn.
