Hernández Hits Two Dingers, Thunder Win, 10-8
The Toronto Thunder defeated the Hollywood Shredders, 10-8, at The Hollywood Bowl. Toronto left fielder Ánibal Hernández had a superb performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Ron Murphy nailed down the save. The Thunder raised their record to 31-22.

Toronto used a clutch hit from Douglas Wacher to get the win. The third baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Thunder ahead, 9-8. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"I still think this team can play even better," Wacher told the Toronto Today.
