Stingers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Colorado, 6-5
|
Toledo right fielder Elijah Smalls picked up 5 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Colorado Billy Goats, 6-5. The win gives Toledo a record of 3-3.
Had Smalls not come through in the bottom of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Smalls hit a bases-clearing double. The Stingers took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Smalls.
