The Colorado Billy Goats defeated the Toronto Thunder, 8-0, at Thunder Field. Colorado was led by 24-year old right fielder Jeff Hines, who hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Shawn Zimmerman recorded the save for Colorado, his 1st of the season. Colorado is 28-28 and Toronto, with the loss, 33-23.

Colorado used a well-timed hit by Jon Gore to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Billy Goats ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Colorado skipper Mack Kilkeary.
