Colorado Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Colorado Billy Goats took Northern Virginia pitcher Stanley Rowe's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Grazing Hills. The final score had Colorado getting past the Rainbow Mermaids, 3-1. Rowe went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 10. With the win, Colorado upped its record to 29-27.
Colorado got a clutch hit from James Sterling. The center fielder launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Sterling said.
