Buffalo Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
|
Fernando Ríos never let Buffalo get something going. The Vancouver left-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Grey Wolves to a 2-0 win. Ríos went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-0. Michael Knight recorded the save, his 9th.
Mariano Juderías, who finished 3rd in the PL in RBI with 78 in 2048, chipped in for Vancouver with a solo home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Juderías. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
Vancouver is 29-28 and Buffalo, with the loss, 27-30.
