Maldonado Goes Distance in New Orleans Win
|
The New Orleans Voodoo rode a solid performance from 30-year-old starting pitcher Alfredo Maldonado to a win, beating the Boston Patriots, 5-2, at The Voodoo Lounge. The win puts New Orleans at 30-28 this season.
Maldonado allowed 2 runs over 9 innings. He also racked up 8 strikeouts.
"Alfredo was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
