The Providence Pilgrims scored a convincing win at Field of Plenty, defeating the Westwood Sixshooters, 14-3. One of the hitting stars was 21-year old left fielder Hugh Kneecorn who went 1 for 2 with a home run and 4 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The loss puts Westwood at 1-2.

The Pilgrims got a gift in the bottom of the third inning, when they were leading 2-1. With one out and the bases loaded, Juan Luis Reyes reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. It made the score 3-1, Providence.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Kneecorn told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
