Dolphins Dumped, 3-1, by Tacoma
|
Luis López had a strong outing for the Tacoma Fur Traders against the Pine Island Dolphins at Ballpark of Tacoma. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-1 win. López yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 3, and struck out 1. His record improves to 1-0. Brad Hickton was credited with the save for Tacoma, his 1st of the season.
Chi-seong P'an had a big run-scoring double for the Fur Traders in the bottom of the second inning. With Tacoma leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Brady Thomas and swatted a double to center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fur Traders ahead, 2-0.
"Luis's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Tacoma manager Jeff Rutherford.
Pine Island, with the loss, is 1-3.
