Mike Schmitt brought his A-game to help Marquette defeat the Richland Rails, 1-0. The loss puts Richland at 2-2.
Jerry Jaramillo, the 9th overall pick in the 2052 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Jaramillo contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Marquette up, 1-0.
