The Richland Rails in 10 innings beat the Lancaster Farmers, 2-1, at Rails Ballpark. Starting pitcher Morris Faulkner was a major factor, holding his opponents in check all game. Richland reliever Martino Salazar picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. José Márquez was saddled with the loss. Lancaster is 1-4 after the loss.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 23-year old shortstop Gjelt Willems had a chance to be the hero. Lancaster pitcher José Márquez wanted to foil that plan. But with no outs, Willems hit a sacrifice fly. The Rails had themselves a thrilling win.

"This wasn't a good win," said Willems. "It was a great win."
