Eclipse Topple Rails with Late Rally
Richland got a big-time effort from pitcher Chris Murton, but it wasn't enough to keep the Northville Eclipse from winning the game, 6-2. Murton threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Robbie Brown, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The loss drops Richland to 4-1.

Northville used a clutch hit from Gus Thomlinson to get the win. The shortstop drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Eclipse ahead, 6-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Ludovic Fontaine.
