The Lancaster Farmers topped the Virginia Beach Whales, 5-4, in M3L Double A action at Farmers Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Lancaster pitcher George Foster. Eugene Brewer closed out the game, earning his 1st save. Lancaster goes to 4-2.

Hank Sutton chipped in for Lancaster, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"George was in control from the top," said Lancaster manager Dave Davis.
