Whales Lose By a Run at Minnesota
The Minnesota Loons did just enough to sneak past the Virginia Beach Whales, 4-3, at Loony Bin. Minnesota right fielder José Galindo, in particular, had a standout performance. The win belonged to José Silva in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Weak Armstrong took the loss for Virginia Beach. Minnesota is now 5-2.

Minnesota took the lead, 4-3, on José Vázquez's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Virginia Beach pitcher Weak Armstrong in the bottom of the seventh.

Galindo called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
