The Northville Eclipse and starting pitcher Zhi Ling stifled the Asheville offense en route to a comfortable 9-2 win at Asheville Park. The winning pitcher was Ling, now 2-0. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 9. Mannus Klapwijk closed it out for his 1st save.

Northville won the game in part because of Harold West. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Eclipse ahead, 3-2. For the game, West had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Eclipse manager Daniel Katz. "This one was nice to get."
