The Northville Eclipse beat the Casper Ghosts, 10-6, at The Graveyard. Northville catcher Clayton Howell had the hot bat. He went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. With the win, Northville lifts its record to 5-3.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman John Gotaas came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Casper pitcher Michael Hamilton, he hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Northville on top, 8-6.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Gotaas told the Northville News. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
