Minnesota pitcher Bill Robinson had a large part in his team beating the Lancaster Farmers, 6-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Minnesota reliever Bill Robinson got the win, raising his record to 1-0. David Cochrane was tagged with the loss. The Loons raised their record to 7-3.

Miguel Alonso had a big run-scoring triple for the Loons in the top of the fourth inning. With Minnesota leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 20-year old left-handed pitcher David Cochrane and swatted a triple to right. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Loons ahead, 2-0.

"It never gets old," said Alonso. "Winning, that is."
