The home crowd had a good time watching the Yakima Hops and Westwood Sixshooters get after it.

The Westwood Sixshooters downed the Yakima Hops, 9-2. The hitting star was second baseman Hawk Tuahsson. Tuahsson went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Sixshooters. Brady Allen was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was 25-year old right-handed pitcher José Mecedone. Peter Dupree recorded the save, his 1st.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Sixshooters grabbed the lead when Tuahsson hit his 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run off José Mecedone made it 2-1, Westwood.

"I wish every win came this easy," said Tuahsson.

The Hops drop to 5-5 and continue their mediocre start to the 2062 season.
