Guinea Pigs Stick Farmers with 3-1 Loss
|
In a low-scoring clash between Gwinnett and Lancaster, pitcher Sean Long was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-1 Guinea Pigs win. The win takes Gwinnett to 5-6.
Joel Hinton drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Gwinnett. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Hinton had a clutch at-bat. Facing Lancaster hurler Bruce LaPlante, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Guinea Pigs a 2-1 lead.
