Voodoo Shut Out Thunder, 3-0
|
New Orleans Voodoo starter Jesús Ramírez turned in an exceptional performance against the Toronto Thunder at Thunder Field, resulting in a New Orleans win, 3-0. Bob Douglas nailed down his 12th save. The win makes New Orleans 31-30.
New Orleans used the hitting of Jorge Valdés to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Voodoo on top, 2-0. For the game, Valdés had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We take it day by day here," said Valdés, "and today was a good one for us."
