Rocketeers Need Extra Innings to Top Thunder, 7-5
The inspired effort of Toronto right fielder John Matthews was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-5, to the Seattle Rocketeers. Matthews slugged 2 home runs. Seattle reliever Adam Shirley was the winner. His record is now 1-2. The losing pitcher was Ricardo Gamera. Pablo Gonzáles finished the game for Seattle and earned his 1st save.

Seattle went up, 6-5, on Kenny Wilson's 11th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Wilson hit in the top of the 11th, left Toronto pitcher Ricardo Gamera shaking his head.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Rocketeers manager Andrew Powell.

The win makes Seattle 28-33.
