Right-hander Brian Payne mesmerized the Barton Springs Blues while leading the Pine Island Dolphins to a 5-0 victory. Losses have been rare for the Blues, who are now 9-3.

The Dolphins got an important contribution from third baseman David Ellison, who in the top of the second knocked a 1-1 fastball to right for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Dolphins ahead, 4-0.

"I thought we played a nice game," Ellison told the Pine Island Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
