The Toledo Saboteurs picked up a win at Toledo Backyard Park, courtesy of José Morán. The right-hander helped his team stop the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 2-1. Morán picked up the win for Toledo, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Al Casey earned save number 1 this season.
Jorge Cruz had a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd, the Toledo right fielder hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 1-0, Saboteurs, and led to the win.
"Tough loss," said Chesapeake manager John Moore. "But we'll learn from it."
