Sixshooters Lose as Javelina Stage Late Rally
The Arizona Javelina topped the Westwood Sixshooters, 6-4, in M3L Double A action at Sixshooters Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Arizona pitcher and Anchorage, Alaska, native Darius Brooks. Arizona reliever Pedro Rodríguez picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Aarto Taipale was tagged with the loss. The Sixshooters drop to 6-7 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2063 season.

Arizona used the timely hitting of Jerry Howard to capture the win. The catcher socked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Javelina ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"It feels good to get this one," Howard told the Arizona Today.
