Soggy conditions did not keep Minnesota and Tacoma from playing their scheduled game.

The Minnesota Loons beat the Tacoma Fur Traders, 6-5, in part because of catcher Nick Jackson. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Now 2-12, the 2061 Fur Traders have been wretched so far.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Brent Pelaez? The Minnesota third baseman had a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Loons on top, 5-2. For the game, Pelaez had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
