Tight Tilt Goes to Sixshooters, 1-0
|
Sixshooters Stadium was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
The Westwood Sixshooters did just enough to sneak past the Barton Springs Blues, 1-0, at Sixshooters Stadium. Westwood pitcher Keith Ayers, in particular, had a standout performance. Westwood has a record of 6-8.
The Sixshooters got a big at-bat from right fielder Harry Tregelles. For the game, Tregelles went 1-2 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Westwood a 1-0 lead.
"We did just enough to win," Ayers said.
