Hurricanes Keep Chugging, Win, 5-3
|
The Cape Coral Hurricanes beat the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 5-3, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. The Hurricanes got a fine performance from designated hitter Matt Yarbrough, who was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Mark Smith earned the save for Cape Coral, his 5th. The Hurricanes raised their record to 18-19.
In the top of the first, Yarbrough had a 3-run home run for Cape Coral. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Hurricanes on top, 3-0.
"Winning breeds more winning, I guess," said Yarbrough.
