Leviathan Lose to Ponies, 3-1
|
Kingston Ponies starter Anthon Arents hurled his team past the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 3-1. Earning his 5th save for Kingston was Fred Hull. The win gives the Ponies a record of 12-25.
Had Arthur Hayes not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Hayes hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Ponies.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Hayes said.
