Both teams had their chances, but the Mexico City Blue Demons eventually prevailed.

The Mexico City Blue Demons did just enough to sneak past the Toledo Stingers, 5-4, at Condor Nest. Mexico City pitcher Jeff McFarland, in particular, had a standout performance. Arsen Campbell earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 1-0. Ángel Santingo locked down his 1st save.

Bill Spillman hit a run-scoring double off Jorge Souza in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Blue Demons in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Spillman had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"Jeff was in attack mode the whole game," said Mexico City manager JJ Hoban.

Mexico City bumps their record to 25-36 with the win.
