D.C. got a terrific game from second baseman Brian Davis. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Thunder Bay, 9-8. Davis went 2-6 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Bennett Dodd. He's now 4-2. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits for the Northern Lions BC. At 27-15, the Northern Lions BC are currently second in the Third League.
The Northern Lions BC got a lift from third baseman Ted Garrett, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season put the Northern Lions BC on top, 9-3.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Garrett.
