The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC had to overcome a good performance from Cape Coral pitcher Janghyun Han to claim a 3-2 win at Factory of Sadness. Han went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Darius Brooks earned the save, his 1st, for the Northern Lions BC. The setback makes Cape Coral 22-20.

The Hurricanes had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Northern Lions BC going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old catcher Pancho Valdéz came to the plate. Valdéz hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch curveball from Cape Coral hurler Janghyun Han. It was Valdéz's 6th home run of the year.
