Dirty Reds Rally to Win
The Dayton Dirty Reds and D.C. Divided played an entertaining game for Washington Stadium patrons.

The Dayton Dirty Reds beat the D.C. Divided, 4-3, in 11 innings at Washington Stadium. Bob Dennis, in particular, was impressive. He was 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. Dayton pitcher Tom Schaefer earned the win, hiking his record to 2-2. Tommy Huber suffered the loss.

Dayton used the timely hitting of Will Nolan to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Dirty Reds on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a good effort all around," said Dennis.

Their 27-16 record puts the Dirty Reds third in the Third League.
