The D.C. Divided got a superb performance from pitcher Jeremy Robinson, but the Charleston Battery still won the game, 4-3. Robinson threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. Jim Milley, 2-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Battery.
Had Christian Weaver not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Weaver hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Battery.
"This team is real focused right now," said Charleston manager Matt Hunt.
