Joseph hits 11th home run to Power Blue Demons Offense
|
The Mexico City Blue Demons grabbed a win, 9-0, over the Detroit Rock City at The Squared Circle. Mexico City designated hitter Mike Joseph was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Tai sun Rang got the win, improving to 4-3. He worked 6 innings, giving up no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 5. Picking up the save was Alberto Nieves, his 1st.
In the first inning, Joseph had a grand slam home run for Mexico City. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Blue Demons on top, 4-0.
Mexico City manager JJ Hoban commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
The 8th-place Blue Demons are now 21-24, the Rock City 17-28.
