A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Toronto Thunder and Hollywood Shredders.

Good production from right fielder John Matthews helped the Toronto Thunder topple the Hollywood Shredders, 6-1. Matthews was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Thunder. Toronto now has a record of 2-5.

Toronto grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Matthews hit a 3-run home run off Chris Johnston. His 1st home run of the season put the Thunder out in front, 4-1.

Toronto manager Jordan Smith praised his team's "energy."
