The Toronto Thunder and Seattle Rocketeers obliged fans looking for a good time.

Mel Kiper III had a good game, but he could not keep the Seattle Rocketeers from falling, 5-4, to the Toronto Thunder at Thunder Field. The Seattle catcher went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the loss. The winner in relief was Floyd Seymour. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-0.

The Thunder used some clutch hitting to beat the Rocketeers, a good example being the at-bat of John Matthews in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, Matthews gave his team the lead, 5-4, when he hit a run-scoring single.

"I was a little disappointed," said Seattle manager Andrew Powell. "We could've and should've scored more runs."

Toronto is now 38-25, Seattle 29-34.
