A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Mexico City Blue Demons and Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids.

Mexico City Blue Demons starter Brandon Fox turned in a top-notch performance against the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Atlantica. The result was a win for the Blue Demons, 4-1. Fox picked up the win for Mexico City, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-7.

Mexico City used the timely hitting of Kenneth Elliott to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blue Demons on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame remarks, Elliott hailed his team's "single-minded focus."
