The Toronto Thunder and New Orleans Voodoo put on a pitchers' duel.
In a low-scoring contest, Toronto pitcher Tai sun Rang was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. Rang picked up the win for Toronto, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-4.
The Thunder got an important contribution from first baseman Justin Allen, who in the bottom of the third knocked a 1-0 fastball to center for a run-scoring double. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Thunder ahead, 2-0.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Allen.
The Thunder saw their record improve to 37-26.
