Leviathan Stumble, Lose to Hurricanes
|
Salmon P. Chase led Cape Coral to a win over Nova Scotia. The final score was 9-3. Chase, who is tied for 4th in the 3L in triples with 2, collected 3 RBI, while going 3 for 5 at the plate. The center fielder also scored 2 times. Logan Bowen was the winner. Over 7 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 3 hits, with 6 walks and 3 strikeouts. The Hurricanes got a lift from shortstop Alex Thomas, who in the top of the second stroked a first pitch sinker to left for a 2-run single. It was his 41st hit of the season and put the Hurricanes ahead, 2-0.
