Bowties Get Hard-Earned Win
Buckhead and St. Louis duked it out and the Bowties came out victorious.

The Buckhead Bowties overcame a good performance by St. Louis second baseman Marion Cassano to knock off St. Louis, 7-6, at 5 Paces Park. Cassano was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The save went to Ed House, number 10 for him.

Buckhead took the lead, 7-6, on Felipe Madrid's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off St. Louis pitcher George Law in the bottom of the eighth.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said St. Louis manager Scott McMahon. "But we decided not to take it."

The Coeur, now 24-28, have lost 4 straight.
