Thunder Bay Defeated By Blue Demons, 5-2

The Mexico City Blue Demons defeated the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 5-2, at Great Northern Field. Mexico City was led by 24-year old shortstop Mark Henderson, who was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Mexico City reliever George Atwater picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Bennett Dodd absorbed the loss. Steven Boon closed it out for Mexico City, earning his 5th save.
With Mexico City leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Henderson hit a curveball from Bennett Dodd for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Blue Demons ahead, 5-0.
Henderson said his team "played with determination."
The Blue Demons now have a record of 25-27 with the win over Thunder Bay.
