Cape Coral picked up a win at Factory of Sadness, bumping off the Kingston Ponies, 4-2. Pitcher Tom Morris was a major reason the Hurricanes emerged victorious. The Hurricanes go to 21-31 with the win.

Jim McGuire drew 1 walk for Cape Coral. The 21-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Claude Simon. It was his 9th RBI of the season.

McGuire attributed the win to his team's "collective resolve."
