Thunder Bay Loss Spoils Terrific Game by Simpson

Mexico City and Thunder Bay duked it out and the Blue Demons came out victorious.
The Mexico City Blue Demons besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Thunder Bay right fielder Kenny Simpson by beating the Northern Lions BC, 9-6, at Great Northern Field. Simpson was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Tai sun Rang got the win, improving to 6-3. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2.
Francis O'Farrell, who is tied for 10th in the 3L in bases on balls with 29, helped out the Mexico City cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances.
"We'll take this win and move on," said O'Farrell.
Mexico City has run its win streak to 4 straight.
