Buckhead Defeated By Leviathan, 6-3
|
A good performance from right fielder Feitze Lammers helped the Nova Scotia Leviathan defeat the Buckhead Bowties, 6-3. Lammers was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Leviathan. Ernesto Valdéz got credit for the win, improving to 6-3. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits in 7.2 innings. The 5th-place Leviathan are 28-25.
In the top of the second, Mito Kawamura delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Nova Scotia designated hitter hit a 2-run single, putting the Leviathan in front, 6-3.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Lammers. "And not try to do too much."
