Battery Stumble, Lose to Hurricanes

The Cape Coral Hurricanes beat the Charleston Battery, 10-3. Cape Coral pitcher and Halawa, Hawaii, native Lawrence Higgins led the way. Cape Coral is now 30-24, while Charleston is 34-20.
Cape Coral left fielder Lang Ouyang contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a splitter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 36th hit of the season and put the Hurricanes ahead, 6-2.
"Lawrence went out and did what we needed," said Cape Coral manager Greg Diersing.
