Buckhead second baseman Kent Miller contributed significantly to his team's 8-2 win over the St. Louis Coeur. Miller, who finished 5th in the 3L in on-base percentage with .396 in 2058, went 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bowties. The winning pitcher was Dave Phelps. He's now 6-2. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits for the Bowties. By defeating St. Louis, the 10th-place Bowties improved to 24-30.

Harry Kofmeister, who finished 3rd in the 3L in triples with 6 in 2058, took St. Louis hurler Jorge Valdéz deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Bowties on top, 3-2. In all, Kofmeister had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
