Leviathan Rally to Nose Past Oakland
|
Nova Scotia Leviathan starter Ernie Gibson pitched his team past the Oakland Oaks, 1-0, in 10 innings. At 26-28, the Leviathan claim 8th place in the Third League.
The decisive moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Nova Scotia. That's when Troy Frost hit a solo home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Milton Fisher to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"We had a good game plan," Gibson said, "and we were able to execute it."
