2-1 Loss Extends Kingston Losing Streak
|
The Vancouver Grey Wolves used a great performance from 28-year old left-handed pitcher Ray Stevenson to beat the Kingston Ponies, 2-1, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Stevenson, now 3-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. This loss makes it 7 in a row for Kingston.
In the bottom of the fifth, Efren Alog delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Vancouver third baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Grey Wolves in front, 2-1.
"Ray did a nice job," said Grey Wolves manager David Krause.
