Kingston Falters Again, Loses, 8-3, to Baltimore
|
The Baltimore Bullets racked up a win at Baltimore Grounds, bumping off the Kingston Ponies, 8-3. Frank Vetter, who started for Baltimore, pitched effectively for his team. The winner was Vetter. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Li-ping Cheng. Alfonso Crisci finished to wrap up his 2nd save.
Carlos Gómez hit a bases-clearing double off Li-ping Cheng in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Bullets in front, 6-3. In addition to the double, Gómez had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"When you're losing, the game looks more difficult to play than it is," said Kingston manager Rayzor Ray.
This loss makes it 7 in a row for Kingston.
