Dayton Nets 3-2 Win Versus Battery
|
Getting a good performance from shortstop Fernando Salinas, the Dayton Dirty Reds defeated the Charleston Battery, 3-2. Salinas went 2-4 with 2 home runs for the Dirty Reds. Steve King picked up the save, his 10th. With the victory, the Dirty Reds upped their record to 36-19.
Salinas had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 0-1 fastball from Mario Rosales, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Dirty Reds a 3-2 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Salinas.
"I really like what we did out there today," Salinas said after the game.
