Dayton pitcher Melis Ooyendijk did his part in helping his team defeat the St. Louis Coeur, 4-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Ooyendijk, now 2-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 2, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Dayton occupies third place in the Third League at 34-22.
