Ware Delivers Walk-Off Win for Battery
The Charleston Battery locked up a win at Charleston Armory, knocking off the Buckhead Bowties, 6-5. On the mound for Charleston was right-hander Pham Phung. He played a major role in the triumph. The winner was Wesley Perkins in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Joe Proctor took the loss. The Battery improved their record to 28-29 with the win over Buckhead.

Chad Ware was the walk-off hero for Charleston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Battery second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Phung.
