O'Farrell Socks Bullets in 7-5 Blue Demons Win
|
Francis O'Farrell led the Mexico City Blue Demons to a nifty 7-5 win over the Baltimore Bullets. The Mexico City first baseman, who is tied for 8th in the 3L in bases on balls with 34, was a force of nature. He banged out 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. Steven Boon earned the save, his 6th. With the win over Baltimore, the Blue Demons improved to 29-28.
O'Farrell had a key at-bat for Mexico City in the bottom of the second. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and gave Mexico City an early 2-0 lead.
"Francis was ready to go. Big day for him," said Mexico City manager JJ Hoban.
