The New Orleans Voodoo converted a terrific effort from starter Juan Castillo into a win over the Colorado Billy Goats at The Voodoo Lounge. The Voodoo won the game by a final score of 8-2. New Orleans has a record of 39-25, placing them first in the Premier League.

New Orleans catcher Clint Sheffield contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 48th hit of the season and put the Voodoo ahead, 2-0.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Sheffield, "one at-bat at a time."
