Riding the 2-hit performance of the 28-year old left fielder Dermott Colenutt, the Nova Scotia Leviathan stopped the Oakland Oaks, 3-2. The winner was Nova Scotia reliever Gene Greene, now 1-0. The loser was Scott Bishop. The save went to Stan Carter, number 18 for him.
The Leviathan got a big at-bat from right fielder Feitze Lammers. For the game, Lammers was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 16th double of the season gave Nova Scotia a 2-1 lead.
"We take it day by day here," said Colenutt, "and today was a good one for us."
With the victory, the Leviathan record stands at 33-28.
