Kingston beat Dayton at Megaffin Park, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to shortstop Daniel Long. He was 4-5 with a triple and 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Kingston reliever Fred Hull snagged the win, upping his record to 2-3. Josh Martin shouldered the loss. The 4th-place Dirty Reds dropped to 35-27.

Kingston got a knockout punch from Clifton Roberson. The right fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Roberson said.
