Great Effort by Ponies DH Brown Not Enough in 14-8 Loss
The Buckhead Bowties withstood a fine game by Kingston designated hitter Howard Brown at 5 Paces Park, to upend the Ponies, 14-8. Brown was 4 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The win makes Buckhead 27-38.

The Bowties got an important contribution from left fielder Max Pegrum, who in the bottom of the first hit a fastball to center for a bases-clearing double. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Bowties ahead, 5-1.

"We came out aggressive," said Bowties manager Kerry Hofmeister. "We came out swinging the bats."
